Hi! I am 35 years old. I have been married for 10 years. In March of 2008 we left sunny Arizona to start a new adventure in a new state. I became a stay at home Mom and now have three energetic boys and a little girl born November 16th. In 2010, I decided I need to make some changes to my health and fitness habits. I became a Beachbody coach after getting such great results with P90X. Now I am able to work from home and help others reach their fitness goals.
Funny how life works. While in my early 20’s I could eat whatever I wanted and never gained a pound. It helped that I was staying active by hiking, walking, and randomly working out. After I got married I slowly started gaining weight. I joined a gym and committed to working out 5 days a week. Shortly after joining the gym I got pregnant with my first child. With my doctor’s permission I continued working out until a month before my son was born. I thought losing the weight afterward would be easy, but life with a newborn kept me very busy and I found it difficult to keep up my workouts at the gym. I gradually cut back to 3 days a week and before I knew it I had quit going all together. I managed to train for a couple of marathons but once the marathons were completed still never got back to a regular workout routine. I got pregnant with my second child and of course never lost all the previous baby weight. This time I was out of shape so I didn’t exercise during my second pregnancy. After my second son was born I talked about going back to the gym but of course it never happened.
Three years had gone by with no improvement, in which time I moved to a new state and became a stay at home Mom. I thought I would have all this free time and getting in shape would be top on my list. Wrong! I attempted a few at home DVDS but nothing kept my attention. Going to a gym seemed like a chore because I would have to drag the boys with me. I got pregnant with my third child and once again had not lost the previous pregnancy weight. My third son was born on June 30th,2009 and I knew it was finally time.
I did not have a plan to lose the weight I just knew I needed too. My husband had bought P90X and was half way through the program when our last child was born. I was amazed at the results! I made up my mind to give it a try as soon as my doctor gave me permission to work out again. I started following the suggestions from the P90X nutrition guide immediately. I began P90X in September of 2009. I am very happy to say that I have lost 30 pounds and feel better than I have in years. I now look forward to my work outs, because I know I will get results. I am so excited about all the things Beachbody has to offer. It fits my schedule and provides great results!
In March of 2010, I found out that I was pregnant with baby #4. This time around I was determined to stay in better shape. I consulted my doctor and found out that I could continue working out as long as I made a few modifications. So I am happy to say that this has been the easiest pregnancy so far. I feel great, have lots of energy and can still keep up with other children even with a growing belly.
